The Data Engineering team is part of the Cloud Technology Group. The team delivers cutting-edge cloud and edge networking solutions to the market. We design, implement, deploy and operate data streaming platforms. Our primary mission is to enable product teams to develop high-performing operationally safe and secure products.

Partner with the best

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a team of system software and platform engineers. Your team will enhance platform core services. They will design and develop DevOps tools for managing 100% availability and three 9's performance and reliability SLOs for FedRAMP, GDPR and SOX compliant data streaming platform.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading an engineering team, identifying needs and strengths to help them excel
• Implementing highly available, scalable, and performant (micro)services powering one of the biggest data collection and processing systems in the world (~10PB of data daily)
• Contributing to hands-on platform development activities - coding, debugging, and testing - as needed
• Conducting regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices
• Designing and developing DevOps tools to make the software delivery system run seamlessly
• Developing processes and tools to monitor, analyse, maintain and improve streaming data pipelines' usability and observability
• Automating operational tasks, streamlining day-to-day work with a focus on FedRAMP and SOX compliance

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant experience as a system or platform engineer with a focus on cloud services
• Demonstrate experience with software development using Golang, Python, Rust/C++ or Java
• Have a working knowledge of contemporary DevOps practices and CI/CD tools including deployment/configuration tools
• Have experience with massive data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc) and design principles
• Demonstrate experience with Observability, Performance Analytics and Security tools (e.g. VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, DataDog)
• Have experience with scripting and API's design and development
• Have experience in troubleshooting complex Distributed Systems problems and handling customers' escalations
