The scarcity of skilled professionals in this domain presents a critical vulnerability, and diversity, especially gender diversity, can provide new perspectives and approaches to tackling security challenges. Women, who are significantly underrepresented in this field, represent a vast untapped reservoir of potential talent and could indeed be a key part of the solution to the cybersecurity skills shortage.
