This award not only reflects my personal journey and leadership but also the collective effort and support of those who have believed in and voted for me. It highlights the impact I’ve made in driving change through digital technologies and my commitment to creating inclusive workplaces.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding aspect of working as Chief Operating Officer in Data, Digital, and Technology at Takeda is the opportunity to lead and witness transformative change driven by digital technologies. Sharing the virtual award ceremony with my daughter was particularly rewarding. This experience has fueled my passion and commitment to empowering women in technology and creating inclusive environments. It has significantly influenced my career path by reinforcing the importance of innovation and inclusive leadership.

Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
Being recognized among approximately 1500 applicants and winning the Digital Transformation Leader of the Year Award 2024 is a fantastic achievement I also shared with my daughter, who was incredibly proud and inspired – this stands out as a particularly meaningful moment.

From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
My essential advice for women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech is to passionately support and empower one another. Building and fostering inclusive workplaces where everyone feels valued is crucial. Embrace visionary leadership and innovative approaches to drive change. Additionally, it’s important to seek support from networks and mentors who can provide guidance and inspiration along the way.
