What can tech conferences do to increase the number of women in technology?
As an individual, the Women Tech Global Conference was my first step towards understanding the importance of being a part of organizations like Women Tech Network and the sense of belonging that it promotes. After getting to meet wonderful women in technology and their inspiring journeys from diverse tech backgrounds, I was enlightened about the positive impact that diversity and inclusion as an ideal has on individuals and societal development.
Getting to work in a team, collaborate to come together and stand up for a common cause are valuable lessons that we should incorporate every day in our academic/professional lives. Tech conferences targeting a global audience and working for a great cause, therefore, play a vital role in bringing together women from all walks of life to come together & support each other.

How can women get the right support?
One of the greatest challenges that we all face is taking the first step, which is the most important step, be it career or a new start up idea that we have been cherishing for a long time or something else. A few questions of doubt always arise and a few words of discouragement & doubt from others can prove impactful enough to forbid us from proceeding further with the idea.
In order to break away from such shackles of limitation, support of those who believe in our ability & would whole-heartedly encourage us in our ventures can go a long way in making the difference. I strongly believe that community and purpose-driven initiatives like Women Tech Network, Women Who Code, Women in AI and similar forums can help those struggling with self-doubt the motivation to succeed in their endeavours as collaborating with like-minded people is synergistic and often has a greater positive impact!

What is the role of educators and parents?
The educators around the world are trying their best to impart quality education to all and there
have been welcoming reforms in education in the recent years. The best support that an individual can get is from the family and parents who understand the children's dreams and aspirations and whole-heartedly support their endeavours is the biggest blessing that anybody can ever have!
