Bio
Alifia Miller has over 15 years of experience supporting the FBI, and 25 years of experience working in IT. Alifia has an extensive educational background, where she has received her bachelor's degree in Forensic Technology, a master’s degree in Forensic Science and Technology, and a teaching degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. She is currently a Supervisory Special Agent for the Technically Trained Agents Operation and Development Unit (TODU). In this role, she serves as a Program Manager for all 56 Field Offices and over 300 agents within the Bureau. As a Special Agent and Manager, Supervisory Special Agent Miller has investigated Public Corruption and Fraud, Confidential Informant Investigations and Special Operations, and worked with the Technology Squad on Court Authorized Electronic Surveillance and Collections. Alifia has overseas experience, where she was employed by the United States Military and conducted tours in Germany, Albania, Bosnia, and Saudi Arabia.Nia began her FBI journey in 2016 as an Operational Support Technician in New York’s Long Island Resident Agency, where she worked on the White Collar/Public Corruption Squad. In 2020, Nia transitioned to the Washington Field Office, where she supported the Applicant Squad’s mission in identifying and processing the best qualified applicants to fill critical vacancies throughout the FBI. In 2022, Nia was promoted to become a Strategic Recruiter to continue her pursuit in finding innovative ways to increase a robust and diversified FBI workforce. Nia received her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia State University.
Maria "Toni" Roberts started with the FBI August in 2003. She worked in the Laboratory Division, as a Forensic Examiner in the Latent Print Operations Unit. In June 2009, she was promoted to Research Program Manager in the Latent Print Support Unit, where she handled all matters related to latent print research and published close to 20 articles. During this time, she participated in the DOJ Leadership Excellence and Achievement Program and detailed with the National Institute of Justice. In October 2020, Maria joined the IT Infrastructure Division as a Special Assistant. She is currently the Unit Chief for the Administrative Unit within the IT Infrastructure Division. Ms. Roberts has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Florida State University.
Kathryn Sherman has a dual bachelor's degree in Finance and Criminology as well as a a master’s degree in High Technology Crime Investigation. In 2010, Kathryn entered the FBI on duty as a Special Agent and was first assigned to the Dallas Field Office. She has worked various threats to include Counterintelligence, Crimes Against Children Matters, and Criminal and National Security Computer Intrusions. In 2018, Kathryn was promoted to the FBI’s Cyber Division-Major Cyber Crimes Unit (MCCU) in Washington D.C. In this role, she managed the cyber portfolio for 8 field offices and lead the Cyber Division’s efforts in two international take downs of priority Business Email Compromise (BEC) subjects. In April of 2020, Kathryn joined the Washington Field Office as the Squad Supervisor for Middle East- National Security Computer Intrusions. In July of 2023, Supervisory Special Agent Sherman will report to her next tour of duty, as an FBI Cyber Assistant Legal Attaché at the US Embassy in London.
