Session: DEI-logue: Moving Beyond the Checkbox as an Engineering Leader
DE&I has been the buzzword for the last several years. Many companies across the globe have DE&I heads and initiatives. But more often than not, DE&I initiatives end up with checking the basic checkboxes. How do you, as a non-HR leader, lead with DE&I principles. How does one incorporate DE&I DNA into the heart and soul of a company. Beyond the company culture, how does one, as a leader, show up, and embody the values of DE&I. As an R&D leader, how do you make sure that the product you are building is equitable? Join Jossie Haines, VP of Software Engineering at Tile and Engineering Leadership Coach, in a fireside chat where she shares answers to these questions and provides a 3-pillar framework for leaders to holistically think about DEI.
