Session: Transitioning from leading a team of Engineers to lead a team of Data Scientists
After some years leading a team of Engineers (building the team from scratch, growing it to a performance level, navigating through change with them and helping with their professional development, never forgetting the delivery and quality of the project) I needed a change. New challenges, a team that actually needed me, a way to prove my managerial and leadership skills to myself. So, I embarked in this adventure of leading a Data Science team, located in two different countries (plus me in a third one) A team with a great need of processes and ways of working to help them be productive and happy at the same time. Come with me to go through the challenges I faced during the first months and the learnings I got from this fantastic experience.
