The Director of Product Management for Messaging Platforms will lead the development of next-generation, cloud-based, hyper-scale messaging platforms to support the company’s accelerated growth. This role is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the platform vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The ideal candidate would be a product leader with a strong track-record of building and scaling successful products leveraging latest technologies.
Primary Responsibilties
- Provide product leadership for the company’s critical next-generation platform evolution initiative
- Create and generate momentum for a clearly articulated product platform vision
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly understand market/functional needs and translate them into tangible platform deliverables
- Develop and define the strategic roadmap for product platforms to support business growth
- Leverage new technologies to continuously innovate and improve customer experience
- Lead new product initiatives from concept to realization working with cross-functional stakeholders
- Plan and prioritize platform deliverables to maximize business value
- Plan and drive the migration of customers from legacy platforms
- Develop and review business cases to substantiate new initiatives
- Own and execute the platform-as-a-service go-to-market plan to deliver aggressive global growth
- Participate in strategic meetings with customers and prospects as the product expert and develop collaborative strategies
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and vendor opportunity
- BS Required (Computer Science, telecommunications, or similar) or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of Communications industry experience; Strong Product Management experience with at least 4 years managing enterprise/telco/cloud products
- Familiarity with cloud deployments of telco platforms & CPaaS.
