Job Type: Fulltime

Most of the work can be done remotely. However, there may be instances where travel onsite would be required for setting up/troubleshooting infrastructure and/or meeting with clients.

ROLE

At IMRSV, we deploy bespoke ML APIs and platforms. We implement internal, cloud, and on-premises cluster solutions for ML training and inference jobs and APIs on which we base our applications.

We are looking for a capable candidate with strong technical skills and engineering drive who could design and drive the deployment of machine learning algorithms into production. You will also train the engineers and researchers who use your platform, so we expect you to have good communication skills

As part of the application development process, you will get a chance to learn about and implement "MLops", and of course, gain general knowledge on machine learning. Our team of rigorous and experienced researchers and software developers will have your back.

You will be integrated in almost all of the software development lifecycle. You will design and implement cloud solutions, and convert custom ML/NLP solutions from the research team into production. You will be critical to getting our talented research team's ideas to market. You will also assist in, or maintain developer tooling.

PREREQUISITES

  • Software or computer engineering degree, CS degree if it had a "software engineering" option or significant engineering experience in the field, or a bachelor of information technology degree or comparable
  • Good knowledge of networking, both Linux and generic
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification and expert knowledge and experience of Kubernetes and Docker
  • CI/CD (GitLab, Travis, GitHub actions, or other) experience
  • Knowledge and experience of database architecture, design
  • Good communication skills
  • AWS or GCP experience designing and implementing systems, not just single services and machines
  • 3 years of post-undergraduate experience
  • General knowledge of distributed system architecture and design an assets
  • Let's Encrypt experience an asset
  • Stream processing (Kafka, message brokers) experience an asset
