Synopsys IT cloud team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team. Our team provides a best-in-class EDA Infrastructure & Design environment in the public cloud, optimized to meet the complex demands of EDA workloads.

We are actively seeking a Cloud Architect with a strong understanding of the design & implementation of EDA/HPC environments across multiple cloud platforms, including proven experience with government cloud setups and ITAR compliance. This pivotal role will lead the porting of our solutions to a government cloud setup, ensuring all ITAR-related requirements are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Design scalable multi-cloud HPC Infrastructure for EDA workloads.
  • Define and deploy architectures for networking, storage, and computing across various system layers.
  • Evaluate and adopt new Cloud services for improved scalability, robustness, and uptime across all global sites.
  • Establish guidelines for best practices, methodology, and solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with development, cloud operations, and business development groups to align technical roadmaps and cloud strategy.
  • Research and recommend specific systems, architectures, and applications for cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new system layers for high-complexity EDA/HPC design environments, ensuring seamless integration of new and existing systems.



Desired Skills:
 

  • Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and building cloud EDA/HPC Infrastructure, services, and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of underlying infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
  • Proven experience in designing High-Performance Computing environments for HPC/EDA workloads.
  • Strong understanding of Application, Server, and Network Security.
  • Experience with HA and Scalability.
  • Certifications in a range of cloud services such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
  • Relevant experience of 10+ years.
  • Startup mentality: comfortable navigating fast-moving hyper-growth initiatives.
  • Experience with ITAR compliance and government cloud setups.
  • Proven ability to lead porting solutions to different cloud setups, including government cloud.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.


This position requires access to or use of information, which is subject to export restrictions, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $154,000 - $230,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
