We are currently seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented IT Helpdesk professional to join our dynamic team. As an IT Helpdesk specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional technical support and assistance to our internal users. This includes promptly resolving any issues, ensuring effective problem resolution, and delivering top-notch IT-related solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain employee laptops and software applications.
  • Offer comprehensive technical support to employees for any laptop or software-related concerns.
  • Oversee the inventory of laptops and peripherals, including managing laptop lifecycle replacements.
  • Conduct regular checks on AV equipment, including installations and proactive maintenance.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Provide assistance with password resets and account recovery to ensure users can regain access to their accounts in the event of forgotten passwords or locked accounts.
  • Respond to user inquiries and deliver technical support via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT team to troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop efficient solutions.
  • Document and track all support requests and resolutions in our comprehensive ticketing system.
  • Work location: Synopsys Taipei office

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of effectively and courteously communicating with users of all levels and conveying technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a customer-oriented mindset.
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role is required.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP and IP networking, including the understandings of IP subnetting, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and other related protocols. Additionally, possessing a strong grasp of network infrastructure fundamentals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with Microsoft operating systems. Basic knowledge of Linux server administration is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Unified Communications (UC), telephone systems, and video conferencing solutions is a plus, such as Cisco Webex, Zoom Meetings, and others.
  • Basic proficiency in the English is required, encompassing the ability to speak, read, and write with minimal difficulty.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
