About the role

Authors whose research has been accepted by an Springer Nature journal, are asked to complete a number of tasks before their article can be published online, including collecting payment for an Open Access article, collecting the Publication licences and agreements for all research. These two areas are dependent on a number of factors, such as where the author has received funding, their institutional affiliations, and specific policies of our journals.

Oasis is a programme of work that aims to support Authors through their payments and rights journey, by attempting to simplify and speed up the process so that authors can see their work published as soon as possible. Over the years, the programme has looked to create a unified platform for all journals, and support various business models so that authors, institutions and funders are supported.
