The Role

Perform risk-based, objective, and independent audits to provide assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of Kyndryl’s processes and controls as auditor or leading an engagement as an audit team leader

  • Execute audits in accordance with established audit framework to give reasonable assurance of design and effectiveness of processes and controls
  • Perform all phases of the audit engagements with due professional care, including, but not limited to, planning and scoping, identification and evaluation of risks and opportunities, developing and conducting testing to evaluate the design and the effectiveness of processes and controls, identifying and reporting findings, suggesting recommendations for improvements to Kyndryl’s processes and systems, and following up remediations with audit client
  • Ensure quality of work and deliverables are in accordance with professional and Kyndryl GAO standards
  • Act as audit team leader, supervising auditors and lead all aspects of audit engagements with high quality results
  • Develop a strong understanding of Kyndryl’s business, operations, policies and procedures, risks, and areas under review
  • Provide strong analytical and critical thinking skills: identify root causes of identified issues, analyze complex problems, identify trends, anticipate potential risks and impacts, and develop recommendations to enhance Kyndryl’s control posture and protect organizational value
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication in English to report on audit status, results and/or issues to audit client and Kyndryl leadership
  • Serve as trusted advisor for business process and internal controls
  • Support the development of the annual audit plan
  • Assists with other projects, outside of audits, and various administration tasks as they may arise
  • Provide ongoing status to Audit Director and Vice President of Audit on all areas of responsibility


Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience related to internal audit, external audit, internal controls, risk management, compliance, or accounting in an organization of appropriate scale and complexity
  • Possession of at least one of the following certifications: CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, or other relevant certification
  • Strong knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) by the Institute of Internal Auditors, internal control concepts (COSO), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and accounting principles (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS)
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that strives to exceed expectations
  • Experience in conducting audits/reviews and performing risk assessments for a global organization
  • Excellent time management, conflict management, collaboration, and change management skills while managing engagements; having organized/structured approach, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting
  • Fluent in English, both in written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Solid experience with MS Excel
  • Ability to absorb new and high-volume information in a short timeframe

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Japanese language knowledge (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience in working at a globally integrated enterprise and across multiple time zones
  • Ability to embrace and take ownership of projects, including maintaining day-to-day audit project responsibility
  • Strong in developing executive-level presentations
  • Big Four experience


Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Finance or Accounting
  • Preferred Education
  • Master’s degree in one of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Business or other relevant area

Travel

  • Less than 25% of travel may be required
