Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Design: Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions and data architectures using Microsoft Azure. Ensure alignment with business goals, technical requirements, and data strategies.
  • Data Solutions: Architect and implement data solutions including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics. Leverage Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and other data services to create integrated data ecosystems.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements related to data management, analytics, and cloud infrastructure. Translate these requirements into effective data strategies and cloud solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams. Oversee the implementation of cloud and data solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Integration and Migration: Lead cloud and data integration and migration projects, ensuring seamless transition from on-premises or other cloud environments to Microsoft Azure. Implement data migration strategies and data integration frameworks.
  • Data Analytics: Develop and implement solutions for data analytics and business intelligence. Utilize Azure tools such as Power BI to deliver actionable insights and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Azure developments, data technologies, and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance cloud and data capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Communicate complex technical concepts related to cloud and data solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with cloud and data solutions. Develop contingency plans and ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in IT with a focus on cloud technologies and data solutions, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and data platforms.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database), data management, data warehousing, data lakes, and analytics. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) and familiarity with data integration and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server).
  • Project Management: Strong experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud and data solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or additional certifications are advantageous.
