Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Cloud Support Engineer.Senior. Perform network administration duties to resolve complex technical network issues for Akamai global customers; Utilize feedback to improve products and services; Troubleshoot complex web and networking issues; Proactively review and mitigate risks to Akamai network and minimize potential disruptions; Serve as technical account manager for strategic customers to analyze and solve technical issues; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate problem resolutions; Operate in a DevOps environment with a focus on CLI and API; and Utilize and apply knowledge of internet and IP networks, DNS/routing, communication protocols, and web programming languages. Required Qualification:

Mater’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Sciences, or Telecommunications Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Sciences, or Telecommunications Engineering and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Must Have: Three (3) years of experience in the following: TCP/IP; web performance, web application security or load balancers; HTML, CSS, or Java Script; unix data manipulation utilities such as awk, curl or openssl; mapping, image manager, or cloudlets; and wireshark or cloudtest.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $128,818 - $154,614/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
