Gender equity policies in tech must take an intersectional approach to be genuinely supportive of women through COVID-19 and beyond. Women’s experiences in the tech industry are not monolithic and are shaped by intersections of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and more. Policies need to recognize and address these intersecting identities and the unique challenges they present to ensure that all women in tech are supported.
