Effective mentorship is a sure way to fast-track career growth. Two things that have helped me and I highly recommend:
1) Have an "always be learning" mindset.
2) Find a mentor within your specific area, such as philanthropy operations who can mentor you on the functional aspects of where you want to be and also find a mentor outside of your functional area, such as on the frontline who teaches you how the frontline works. As learning both sides has made me a more complete data and ops professional.
