While the goal is to achieve gender parity as soon as possible, a more cautious outlook suggests that this milestone may not be reached until beyond 2040. Factors such as the pace of cultural change, the persistence of stereotypes, and the variability of inclusion policies across organizations could slow progress. As such, a long-term and sustained effort will be necessary to eventually reach this goal.
