Tell us about your experience as a Women in Tech Global Conference 2022 speaker.

I was thrilled to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference 2022 because I’m passionate about connecting with women and building authentic relationships to support each other. As a speaker, I really wanted to put together an engaging session with actionable takeaways based on the realities of working in a male-dominated industry.

It was beyond wonderful to connect with so many women during and after the session – get their feedback, and hear their stories, experiences, and background. Women don’t have many spaces to learn from each other and share our successes and challenges openly. With so many speakers and topics, the Women in Tech Global Conference is an inclusive experience regardless of where you are in your career.

What is your favorite thing about working in tech?

The learning and growth never stop in tech. I love that every day I get to tackle new challenges and opportunities to increase my skill set and help produce and market products that help improve people’s lives.

What advice (and tips) would you give to women who want to start a tech career?

When I graduated with my undergraduate degree, I thought I would get handed a linear playbook on what career path to take and how to find and seize the right opportunities to get me into a leadership role as quickly as possible. But there is no playbook. And while that might seem overwhelming, it also means there are no rules. You have the freedom to find a career path that fulfills you on your terms. Listen to your intuition and what feels right (or doesn’t). And when you encounter fear on your journey, take a breath and find out what it is trying to tell you.

Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network?

The WomenTech Network provides a community for women working in technology to connect, learn and grow. I’d encourage any person identifying as a woman to join
