Shay has been doing commission work since high school with all kinds of mediums. It has been a solid side business while working various jobs, learning many different skills, over the years. During the pandemic, she lost my non-essential job, so Shay decided to invest in equipment, supplies, and proper licenses to do what she does best: full-time creation of art! Last year, she discovered how her artistic skill and services could be enhanced with virtual technology while also growing within a community of supportive women.

⚡️ Save the date: Women in Tech Global Conference 2023 will take place on May 9-12!
Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference and what motivated you to join our community of 100 000 women in tech, minorities, and allies?
I'm very excited to speak and share my experiences with other women in technology! I joined the community because my local network was small and I wanted to explore a variety of perspectives from like-minded women.
Share with us about your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction.
I'm a full-time artist that discovered the potential of technology via VR and how it can enhance my business services.
Why is the topic “Growing Your SkillSet with Technology” important to you?
I'm sure there are other passionate women out there that are also on the road of self-potential discovery but with limited resources. I want to put my story out there hoping it gives perspective to someone out there looking for avenues for growth.
Who would you advise to attend the Women in Tech Global Conference and why?
I would advise other stay-at-home moms such as myself to attend, to inspire them to keep pushing for their goals.
