Bio
Kamal is an executive marketing leader with a track record of success in technology and consumer companies for building brands that drive revenue and profit growth. She is a strategic thinker with proven results in building partnerships with sales and technical teams, leading product and marketing organizations in B2B and B2C companies. Kamal’s career has spanned the intersection of consumer, health and technology.
Kamal is currently leading the Global Brand and Consumer Marketing team for the Invisalign brand at Align Technology. Kamal is an expert in understanding consumer behavior and in building global marketing strategies rooted in consumer insight that fuels business growth.
She has led her team to create winning marketing strategies for the Invisalign® brand to win with GenZ consumers (including being named as the #1 brand of clear aligners preferred by teens in Piper Sandler’s Annual Teen survey) as well as parents and adult consumers in addition to earning several industry awards for best in class marketing in both digital and social media categories.
Her work has also been published, including marketing textbooks, The Noun Project Empowered Women Series, and Think with Google. Additionally, under Kamal’s leadership, her team has developed innovative digital experiences across the entire consumer journey including launching a new mobile consumer app with Virtual Care AI and building new capabilities for her company across social media.
Kamal started her career in technology at Intel Corporation, working on both Latin America and North America businesses. From there, she spent several years in software product management + marketing roles at Sun Microsystems and led consumer-marketing teams at Johnson & Johnson within the diabetes industry reaching parents, children and adult consumers. Prior to joining Align Technology, Kamal led the global commercial team for a Bay Area start-up in women’s health – Auxogyn which was later acquired. In addition to her role at Align Technology, Kamal also serves as an advisor for Flowly, a pain management startup advising the founders on marketing strategies to fuel growth.
Kamal holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Santa Clara University and a certificate from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
