Job Title: Senior IT Auditor

Location(s): Heidelberg, Berlin or Pune - Hybrid Working Model

About the Role

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform audits with focus on IT and digital products and services but also in the general commercial context throughout the Group and at external partners thereby providing assurance to the executive team and the audit committee of Springer Nature
• Develop the IT-Audit universe and maintain close contact to the key stakeholders in the digital and IT-environment of Springer Nature
• Work closely with the Governance, Risk and Compliance team, the CISO organisation, as well as with IT-Governance to align on audit topics, risks identified, and ongoing developments in these areas
• Proactively drives continuous improvement within Internal Audit
• Plan and execute audit projects, write high quality audit reports, and align these with the auditees
• Drive the audit towards the quality and time targets set
• Ensure ongoing efficient and respectful communications with auditees and within the audit team
• Perform and drive follow-up activities on identified risks
• Conduct the work in accordance with Internal Audit standards
• Support the Head of Internal Audit by contributing to the Internal Audit strategy and audit planning process
• Proactively develop and introduce new audit approaches and stay up to date with current developments in this area
• Coach junior team members as part of the audit projects
• Support the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in investigations when requested

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven IT-Audit knowledge, professional certifications as CISA are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or the level of experience is required.
• Excellent English in written and oral form is required.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment, collaborating with diverse teams, and establishing connections with stakeholders from different backgrounds and regions.
• Seniority and experience to represent Internal Audit at all management levels.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a curious mindset.
• Likes to go the extra mile to understand root causes of process issues and identified risks.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally to conduct audits and work with stakeholders.
