The Role

Our Cloud Migration and Modernization Test Managers are key to our customers success. They’ve gained 10+ years’ experience in technology, 4+ years’ experience in application upgrade and migration testing. Translating client requirements, understanding client’s circumstances, and executing project services to support the successful upgrade and migration of critical business systems while reducing the risk to customers and assuring that key business processes continue to run. You will use assets and processes, create migration test strategies and designs, testing plans to address client requirements and work with products or solutions based on partner hardware and/or partner software. You will be “hands on” from solutioning to project startup, implementation and project close

Our ideal candidate is client facing and success driven, able to build strong and trusted relationships with clients. They have a passion business growth and a proven track record of applying test strategy based upon defined requirements. They will have demonstrated leadership of teams across geographies and have experience of mentoring their peers.

As a Kyndryl Test Manager you will:

· Work with project managers, architects, application support teams and business users to drive risk assessment, define test strategies, manage the creation of test designs and test plans, manage test execution throughout the lifecycle and produce relevant test reports.

· Attend client workshops to articulate scope, identify risk areas and mitigations through testing, working with technical and application subject matter experts to build the migration test strategy and approach

· Create the required artefacts (test strategy, test designs, test plans, test schedules and test reports etc)

· Possess strong leadership skills and further evolution of intellectual capital assets

· Apply Test Methods and Techniques (i.e. risk-based testing)

· Educate, mentor and coach teams in applying test techniques

· Facilitate and capture lessons learned from projects to update methodologies and assets

· Support company initiatives for offerings, contracts, technologies, and go-to-market

· Successfully manage all testing for Customer’s migration and transformation projects

You will deliver the following outcomes:

· Provision of professional services (Test Strategy, Design, Planning and Preparation)

· Designed and implemented a compliant approach to testing for infrastructure and applications that meets delivery criteria and reduces client impact

· Increasing the quality, quantity and frequency of client conversations and engagements for project and implementation services opportunities

· Increase the awareness, applicability and value of consulting services with our clients, sales force and delivery organization

· Achieve a “trusted advisor” persona as viewed by our clients, seller and delivery organization

· Instil a sense of urgency and drive to close consulting practice deals

· Maximize the project and architecture practice abilities and capabilities to increase project and solution success

Who You Are

Prior experience of at least 4-5 years as a Test Manager, and should have been involved in Application Modernisation, Migration and Upgrade projects

· Good understanding of application architectures and business process flows

· Applied Test Strategies e.g. Risk-Based Testing Techniques

· Applied Test Life Cycles (e.g. ADLC)

· Applied Test Types (e.g. ST, SIT, NFT and UAT)

· Applied Test Models (e.g. Waterfall, V-Model, Agile)

· Applied Project Management practices

· Ability to Interpret requirements and create approaches

· Ability to Facilitate workshops

· Ability to evaluate risk and merit to make recommendations

· Applied Client Facing Ability to understand and provide guidance and recommendations on test approach to address clients’ needs, challenges and transformations

· Exposure to the DevOps process

· Evaluate risk and merit to make recommendations on available and speculative information

· Working as the Trusted Advisor to customers

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

· General knowledge of compute platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux, VMWare) and storage technologies (e.g. SAN, NAS)

· Understanding of network technologies (e.g. VLANs, Firewalls)

· Experience of cloud technologies

· Educated to degree level or equivalent

· Hold a recognised test certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing

· 10 years Testing experience with 5 years in Test Management
