The educational pathway to technology careers often lacks encouragement for girls to explore tech-related subjects. This educational gap is partly due to cultural perceptions that categorize technology as a field more suited for boys. Without strong female role models and encouragement in these areas, girls may self-select out of tech pathways, deterred by the gendered perceptions they encounter.
