Evaluating whether there are "enough" scholarships available for girls interested in engineering is complex. While there's a commendable number of scholarships aimed at increasing female representation in STEM, achieving true gender parity goes beyond financial support. This entails a broader cultural shift in how we encourage girls from a young age to explore and excel in STEM subjects, breaking down stereotypes and providing role models in engineering. Thus, while scholarships are crucial, they are part of a larger ecosystem of change necessary to welcome more women into engineering.
