Session: The EdTech Paradigm, How a Virus created opportunities
In March of 2020 the world began to shutter it’s doors in an attempt to limit the growth opportunities for COVID-19. Through a manner best described as a mixed-bag of tricks, hundreds of thousands of students and employees became online participants, many for the first time in their lives. Fast forward 3-months and once frightened participants have now become savvy users, who can identify how to navigate both systems and processes while adopting newer technologies. From businesses creating new remote opportunities, services delivered in new ways, and live sessions to replace meetings, the world learned to adapt in a very short time span. No preparation, no alignment of outcomes or deliverables, no assurance that an equal technical playing field was available. And we persevered. The biggest lesson of all? The humanistic experience. It’s time to look at the impact of our experiences and the acknowledgement of using technology for its initial purpose, to be intertwined within our lives creating improved experiences. Join in the discussion to understand and reflect on what has changed, the impact, and how the end users will dictate the next chapter of how we live.
