Bio
Looking back, Ioana might *seem* like a serial career-changer, but a closer look shows clearly how each of her previous roles was just a stepping stone to her current project.
Her social work background taught her about societal problems and empathy; her non profit years delivered a lesson about service and commitment to others, while her years as a public servant in a European institution helped her see how most problems don't observe borders. A short stint in a top marketing firm gave her the wings to explore & love digital marketing but made her realise she's not made for the corporate world; profit is just not her thing - social change is. Which reminds me: she also worked with some the most excluded groups - which ties into her passion for combating ageism. And this list - it goes on!
More recently, she found time just flew by when she engaged in tech-related projects; she attempted to fill a blank here, was enthusiastic about something else there... Long story short - after years of self study, on the job training, a web-related MA program, and a healthy dose of self reflection, she launched www.transitionintotech.com - a project designed to inspire, guide and support mid-career professionals interested in pursuing a tech career. She also teaches career development at her alma mater (University of Strasbourg).
