Session: Breaking Barriers and Building Inclusion: GamedevHQ's Commitment to Empowering Women in Tech
As the Chief Operating Officer of GamedevHQ, I am passionate about promoting diversity and supporting women in the game development industry. In this 30-minute meet and greet, I will share with you how GamedevHQ is taking concrete steps to ensure women have equal opportunities to thrive in the industry and why this mission is personally important to me.
I'll discuss our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including our $6,000 Women in Tech scholarship aimed at lowering barriers for women to enter our Professional Unity Developers Program. This program is specifically designed to equip students with the skills they need to become career-ready Unity developers and succeed in the industry.
I'll also share with you the ways in which GamedevHQ is fostering an environment that supports women in games, such as our mentorship and professional development opportunities. By sharing my personal experiences navigating the industry as a woman, I hope to inspire and empower other women to pursue their passion for game development.
Diversity in game development is crucial for innovation and creativity, and I am proud of the role GamedevHQ is playing in breaking down barriers for women in tech. Whether you're a female student, aspiring game developer, or simply interested in the importance of diversity in the industry, this session is for you. Join me as we explore the power of inclusion in game development and how GamedevHQ is leading the way.
