WHO YOU ARE:

The VP, Technology is responsible for leading technology teams and driving software technology vision, strategy and support for existing and future solutions. The VP, Technology reports directly to the Global CTO and works with Executive Management to grow the company through developing a high functioning technology organization capable of delivering on the company’s transformative product vision. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

Lead the technical vision and all aspects of the technology direction over areas of responsivity. This includes existing platform technology management, strategic initiatives, organizational development, technology debt management strategy.

  • Bring considerable experience in the management and development of large-scale applications with a long history of servicing our clients.
  • Leads the management of legacy technology debt and organize strategy to manage and improve operating effectiveness.
  • Partner and establish collaborative relationship with network and other functional leaders to ensure continued growth and evolution of existing platform systems to meet mission and business objectives.
  • Helps drive a culture of innovation and extreme ownership across the technology organization.
  • Leader in driving transformation of company culture into innovative product technology company.
  • Provides leadership that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
  • Owns management of company resources and ensures control of Technology departmental budgets.
  • Establishes, communicates and monitors best practices for the company to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Drive effective and efficient software development lifecycle that results in predictable and repeatable execution.
  • Lead, coach and recruit a diverse set of technology managers and engineers tasked with development covering a wide range of product capabilities.
  • Manage vendors and vendor strategy. Lead and manage technology vendors, external suppliers, and other contractual partners to ensure delivery of competitive service level agreements both strategically and tacticaWHAT YOU’LL NEED:  
  • BS in related field and at least 15+ years of work experience in the software technology arena, at least 10 years management and strategic experience, 5 of which must be in senior managerial and strategic roles in a global organization going through transformation.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and technologies that are progressing through transformational change.
  • Solid experience working with global teams.
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff, including managing development teams on and offshore, including innovation in approach and processes.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
  • Strong will to drive the needed changes in the organization.
  • Must be obsessed with delivering results, driving extreme ownership, possess an ability for thinking big and “finding a way” forward
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
