Akamai Compute Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai Compute, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. We address global security challenges and make the cloud a safer place.

Partner with the best

You will work on the analysis and implementation of tools to strengthen the security posture at Akamai. Expect to do studies on preventive tools for identity and access management, intrusion detection, and vulnerability detection. You will help Akamai's Compute culture to become more agile, innovative and dynamic.

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Building proof of concept security control prototypes within the scope provided by the security leader and engineers.
• Triaging vulnerabilities submitted by Security Researchers through our HackerOne bug bounty program and other threat/vulnerability sources.
• Analyzing & monitoring external attack surface, threats and develop mitigation solutions to protect Akamai Computes services.
• Implementing, maintaining and improving the accuracy of existing automation tools to help reduce false positives.
• Instilling a secure-by-design culture throughout the entire company by educating security best practices.
• Participating in projects including: Asset inventory & Classification, Identity & Access Management and Vulnerability Management
