The Financial and Controls investigator will report to the Global Head of Financial and Controls Investigations and will be responsible for leading and conducting thorough and timely investigations of possible violations of Kyndryl policies related to accounting, auditing and financial recording and reporting, bribery and corruption, business integrity, conflicts of interest, and other business processes and controls.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing investigations for the central region and other geographies globally as needed

  • Performing triage assessments, developing investigations work plans for assigned investigations, including objectives, scope, timing, and aligning on overall investigation approach with Manager

  • Understanding Kyndryl policies and processes

  • Understanding the investigations processes, case management system, and information gathering techniques

  • Collaborating with other functions involved in the investigation process and subject matter experts, e.g., Legal, Compliance Office, Human Resources, Audit, Corporate Security, etc.

  • Preparing clear and concise investigation reports and other deliverables

  • Preparing interview plans and conducting interviews with witnesses and persons of interest

This position offers a unique opportunity to work from one of our key locations in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania or Bulgaria.

For Slovakia, the salary range starts at 4000 EUR gross per month. The final salary offer reflects the set of skills and experience that selected candidates bring to the team.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • 10+ years of total professional experience with a minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, controls, audit, compliance or legal practice

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to gather facts, organize data, analyze financial statements and other financial data, and identify relevant issues

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills and Expertise

  • CPA or CFE certifications (or equivalent)

  • Experience with a "Big 4" or national consulting firm in a capacity that required conducting investigations

  • Experience in a corporate finance, accounting, audit, compliance or business controls function

  • Experience in a law firm or in house corporate legal department in a litigation role, or a role that required knowledge of finance or accounting

  • Familiarity with COSO’s Fraud Risk Management Guide and anti-bribery laws and regulations

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, or other relevant area
