Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Software Engineer. Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting of new and existing software products; Developing and maintaining enterprise SaaS software including RESTful APIs; Creating back-end systems responsible for the storage, transformation, and transportation of large data sets, including the creation of detailed documentation; Collaborating with architects and engineering teams to understand product requirements and build solutions to address those requirements; Working with the Product Team to assess, define, and refine product requirements; and Developing software using scripting languages and working with cloud-based architectures and distributed databases. Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information System Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Completion of a university level course, thesis, project, or internship involving the following: Python (Flask web framework), HTML, CSS, Javascript, Microsoft Azure, Cybersecurity, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Compliance.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $90,646 - $116,021/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
