Emerging geoengineering techniques, including direct air capture of CO2 and solar radiation management, are being explored as potential means to reduce greenhouse gas concentrations and control Earth’s temperature. While these technologies are still in experimental stages, they represent a futuristic approach to directly intervene in the climate system to mitigate global warming.
