This is a global GTM Channel Strategy role located within Centre of Excellence (CoE) in support of the Markets, Category, Services global business unit teams in the Commercial Organisation. The WW GTM Software Strategy Project Manager will be responsible for creating, designing future program and services/software strategy initiatives for our commercial channel business.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in HP's most complex disciplines. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function
Key Responsibilities
- Business Planning –Work closely with Markets, GBU’s and other functions to ensure key assumptions / priorities for GTM strategy are aligned
- Drive the contractual workstreams projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and IT teams to ensure GTM requirements are understood and built into long term plans
- Identity and drive key transformations projects
- Market Analytics and Insight – Provide business performance insights for GTM benchmarks, trends and XaaS expertise
- Track key competitors and overall market trends.
- Management of change and stakeholder monitoring for GTM projects
- Effective Problem Solving
- Leads the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables.
- Consults with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
- Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations
- Structures analytical approaches, develops project strategies and tactics.
- Identifies research, tools, and analyses required to achieve objectives for large, complex business strategy projects
- Designs and manages strategic development across multiple business units.
- Anticipates emerging trends that may impact the overall business model.
- Recognized internally and externally as an industry expert for recommending financial impact and change
- Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional approaches, systems, information and support.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

- In-depth understanding on Channel Partner programs, commercial resellers (T2) and Distribution models
- Extensive knowledge and experience in GTM/RTM strategies for Software, XaaS, services and solutions : Direct and Indirect motions
- Ability to develop the right GTM strategy to generate growth with commercial partners through contractual initiatives
- Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in contractual selling and technologies around services and solutions
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modelling.
- Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues.
- Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.
