THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As an Analytics Engineer in the Audiences team your will join us in Berlin as the forefront of shaping our understanding of customer behaviors and preferences. Your role is crucial in designing and implementing data models and data products that directly impact how we segment, understand, and interact with our audiences. Using dbt as your core technology, you'll transform raw customer data into insightful, actionable formats. You'll work closely with engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and product managers to ensure that the data products you build provide the foundation for personalized marketing strategies and customer experiences. Your work is not just about processing data; it's about creating a narrative that empowers the entire organization to meet the customer where they are and enhance their journey with Zalando.

Master Data Transformation: Use dbt to transform raw data into structured, analysis-ready formats, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Design Data Models: Design and maintain data models that serve as the backbone for analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
Build Data Products: Collaborate with data product owners and stakeholders to develop and deploy data products that drive strategic business decisions.
Empower Decision-Making: Provide clean, accurate datasets that enable end users and stakeholders to derive meaningful insights independently.
Elevate Data Culture: Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
