As a Software Engineering - Developer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.
Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it.
As a valued member of our team, you will provide work estimates for assigned development work, and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies being built for interested parties. Required Technical and Professional Experience
- More than 11 years of relevant IT experience, with minimum 5 years of experience in area of Application Design, Development in mainframe and recent 5 years’ experience in mainframe modernization taking care of discovery, design, and execution. In addition,
- 5 years’ experience in distributed development technologies, such as Java
- Design and develop Solution Architecture by systematically analysing various portfolio of applications.
- Be the technical architect and design the implementation solution in line with customer needs, derives specification, scope of work and technical deliverables to the customer.
- Lead the strategy and architecture of transforming large enterprise scale applications across multiple industries from legacy implementation to modern architecture and tech stacks.
- Conceptualizes, architects, designs, implements, and supports integrated solutions for client engagements.
- Design and architect transformational journeys for clients building overarching microservice, PaaS, and/or serverless architectures with a focus on DevSecOps integration.
- Expertise in key development technologies including microservices, and Java
- Prior knowledge and experience in developing solutions using mainframe modernization tools such as Rocket (formerly Micro Focus), Astadia, Raincode (MSFT) and CSP provided tools such as BluAge (AWS), G4 (Google), etc.
- Strong experience in building and delivering various Modernization disposition solutions like Rehost, Re-engineer / Refactor, Rewrite, Re-architect, Retire, etc.
- Experience in Architecture, Design and Development experience in Legacy Mainframe technologies (Common like COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and Niche like PL1, IMS, Natural-Adabas, etc)
- Strong experience in CICS, IMS DB-DC, ASSEMBLER
- Mainframe Tools and infrastructure knowledge – Changeman, File Manager, Job Scheduler Endevour, etc
- Deep expertise in APIs – REST, SOAP
- Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns and approaches
- Knowledge of DevSecOps technologies and architectures
- Experience in Advanced Systems Design concepts and implementation of the same.
- Must have executed large scale mainframe modernization programs in the capacity of architect (at least 2 programs
- Professional Enterprise Architecture Certifications from industry organizations – TOGAF, Zachman
- Professional Architect Certification in any of the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Nice to have: Training, experience, and/or professional certifications in application refactor/replatform tools, including Raincode, AWS BluAge, Astadia, Rocket Enterprise Server / Developer (formerly Micro Focus).
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- •Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl
- •Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
