Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference and what motivated you to join our community of 100 000 women in tech, minorities, and allies?
I am really excited to speak at the conference. I think diversity is key to success and we need to convince women that tech is not a men's world. Women have a key role to play and should look into technology because it is a mind-blowing environment. It shapes our future, it changes so fast that you never get bored, it is not so complicated to understand if you have the willingness.
Share with us about your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction.
I have not a typical background. I studied international law and wanted to work in embassies. My first internship changed my mind. I found the environment too slow and frustrating in a way. So I started working in a tech company and became passionate about it. I created the marketing department of this small company and I have been working for software companies since then.
Why is the topic “Exposed credentials - How attackers find and exploit secrets in source code” important to you?
I chose this topic because it is what my current company, GitGuardian, is trying to educate the market on. Code is a critical element that companies need to consider in their security posture. Having an audience of tech women, among which developers I thought it could be interesting to explain how the code they develop can include vulnerabilities.
Who would you advise to attend the Women in Tech Global Conference and why?
I advise all women looking for a thrilling career to attend, and I am even more interested in the younger ones. I strongly believe we need to expose young women and girls to technology, so they become tech-friendly. We need to shape our future and not let the other half of humanity decide how our world should become.
