Session: A Journey from Individual Contributor to Managerial Success
I would like to share my journey of how I went from being a software engineering lead to trying out management in a TLM role to moving to a full time manager. I would like to cover the steps I took, the skills that helped me along the way and my decision making process. A lot of aspiring managers could benefits from learning about my journey. It's not always easy for a women in the tech world to rise up and advocate for opportunities, I would love to share the tips and tricks I used along the way
Bio
I have been working in the tech industry for over 10 years, I have been part of Oracle, CoreOS (a a start up that got acquired from RedHat) and Lyft. I have been a software developer for most of my career but have moved into Engineering management in the past few years. Diversity & Inclusion are aspects that are close to my heart and something I work hard for in every company that I have been a part of.
