Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

The team works on a product that protects our customers from online threats, including phishing, ransomware and viruses. The product provides an integrated suite of carrier-grade DNS-based solutions (security, content filtering, messaging). It enables fixed and mobile operators to protect and enhance their networks and strengthen security.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a software engineering team supporting two security-related products. One is responsible for authentication and authorization services for the DNSi SPS solution. The second is responsible for protecting enterprise mobile and cellular devices in an increasingly 'office anywhere' environment.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting engineering team in daily duties like deployment/management / migration of cloud applications from public cloud to Akamai Cloud
• Improving automation of existing manual processes and standardization
• Monitoring service health and promptly handling alerts to ensure quick resolution
• Keeping technologies up to date and take care of security vulnerabilities

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have hands-on experience in Kubernetes and CI/CD tools Jenkins or relevant (e.g Azure Devops)
• Have experience in cloud technologies (any of AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Present expertise in automation and scripting (Shell, Python and Groovy)
• Demonstrate experience with any of the following technologies: Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Telegraf
• Be familiar with observability tools such as VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash, Kibana
• Have strong understanding of security
