How could you find your unicorn job?While a lot of us are looking for the perfect role, the right education, or maybe even to work at the company we so admire, we often neglect what really drives us. Our purpose is what gives us our daily dose of motivation, the energy to go the extra mile without effort and the smile in the face when we go to work.
On the other hand, companies are looking for employees with the perfect match based on expertise, skills and certification. They put a lot of effort into building a culture but often forget, that people are the ones creating the culture. They recruit based on what people have achieved on paper rather than their values and motivation.
But what happens, if there is a match between our purpose and the culture of the company? How can you find your unicorn job by finding the right company, the one that matches your purpose?
Bio
Priska has worked over 15 years in the finance industry, where she led national and international IT projects for major banks with great success. She started her career in the IT world as a career changer in Software Engineering. Her skills and expertise enabled her to not only work for international projects but also move to Hong Kong to take on different roles in Project and Product Management. In 2016 she left the finance industry to focus on building up her own company. As Managing Director of TechFace, Priska uses her experience, knowledge and passion to support women pursuing a purposeful career in tech and connect them to companies committed to diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, she helped to build up Girls in Tech Switzerland, a global non-profit organization with the goal to attract and retain women in tech.
