What You'll Do:

The Global Automation team develops and runs a wide range of first-class solutions that empower Criteo’s commercial and operations teams to maximise their business impact.

We build scalable, reliable, and interoperable systems, that constantly need to adapt to business priorities and evolutions. And we build the applications, APIs and UIs to supply first-class service to our users.

Our team empower internal teams by crafting solutions, APIs, ETL pipelines and frameworks that are meant to provide commercial stakeholders with secure and fast access to Criteo data and the related insights necessary to manage their portfolios effectively.

You will be leading a team of engineers in a multicultural and diverse environment alongside highly motivated colleagues and a talented team of highly skilled engineers on products that make a real business impact.


As a Team Lead, you will lead a cross-functional agile team of engineers responsible for developing some of our most critical solutions in Global Automation.

You will be an agile coach for the team, driving all aspects of software development, helping with blockers, identifying risks, and updating progress to leadership.

You will be a champion of technical excellence, a key mentor to your development team and a strong contributor in driving development best practices and standards splitting your time between line management duties and software development.

Balancing both line management responsibilities and hands-on software development, you embody a servant leadership approach. Your success lies in your ability to coach and mentor effectively, ensuring the continuous growth and contribution of each team member. By fostering an environment of ongoing improvement, you empower the team to confidently own their technical solutions from inception to production.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a group of engineers

  • Implement and champion agile practices

  • Actively participate in hiring.

  • Support and mentor engineers through regular 1:1s.

  • Foster the career growth of direct reports

  • Collaborate with leadership, product managers, UX designers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership.

  • Write reusable, testable, secure, and efficient code in Python.

Who You Are:

  • Have Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.

  • Have a passion in leading and managing Agile teams.

  • Maintain an enthusiasm for software development, best practices, and clean code.

  • Strong experience delivering scalable quality software products in Python.

  • Critical thinker with problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus

  • Good understanding of security best practices.

  • Having some hands-on experience with data science or machine learning.

  • Knowledge in alerting stacks such as Prometheus or others.

  • Experience with ETL pipelines.

  • Experience programming in other languages (PHP, Ruby or C#).
