About the Role

We are hiring for a Licensing Manager to join Springer Nature in our Kings Cross London office! In this role you will operate in the academic and government institutions market overseeing the Scandinavia, Belgium and Netherland regions regions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute defined sales strategies in the Northwest Europe market, for Governmental and Academic sales in the region Scandinavia, Belgium and The Netherlands.
  • Initiation of new sales channels, acquisition of new customers and support of existing customers in close coordination with the team.
  • Analysis of customers and the independent preparation of offers.
  • Reporting and presentation of results and sales activities
  • Participation in library congresses and exhibitions
  • Collaboration in internal project groups if required
  • Internal and external management of all processes accompanying the sale (i.e. SNCSC, Licensing Control, Finance, Marketing, Salesforce)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Demonstrable sales account management experience
  • A proven sales track record
  • Ability to travel as part of the roles responsibilities
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to present and pitch strategies and products to external and internal stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrable ability to meet sales targets
  • Analytical thinking and ability to prepare reports
  • Strong good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well autonomously but also within a team

Desirable    

  • Previous sales experience within the publishing industry
  • Knowledge of the STEM market
  • Sales experience in the Scandinavia, Belgium and Netherlands region
