In this role you will be responsible for working in lock-step with Product Managers and Software Development teams to deliver a world-class Virtual Collaboration platform that allows real-time training, collaboration, and expert guidance on GE Healthcare Ultrasound systems. You'll be owning the product backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Product Owner, you will:

• Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products.

• Shows increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.

• Routinely collaborates with UX Design to know customers and understand behaviours.

• Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.

• Demonstrates ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing.

• Collaborates with Program Managers for the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.

• Owns and manages the product backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.

• Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.

• Collaborates with Product Managers/TPMs to decompose features into consumable user stories.

• Engages frequently with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.

• Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.

• Partners with Service Owners/ Development Managers to ensure healthy development process.

• Applies Agile Methodology.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 5+ years of professional experience OR Master’s.

Required Skills:

• Experience in Software/Technology role & Product Owner.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with creating specifications (specifically the ability to understand business requirements) and delivering them to software teams.

• Creative, dynamic, hard worker, assertive, energetic.

• Proficient in web services, online technologies, and user interface design

• Understanding of IT system integrations

• Understanding of communication technologies, audio/visual collaboration, and/or video streaming standards

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Knowledge on application integration, APIs, UI/UX, data quality, and data governance

Desired Characteristics:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.

• Experience in Medical Device Industry is a plus.
