Flexible leave policies are only as effective as the work culture that surrounds them. Women in tech still face the challenge of achieving work-life balance when the work culture encourages constant connectivity and implicitly punishes disengagement. To make work-life balance a feasible goal, cultural values around work need to evolve alongside policy changes.
