One of the major challenges in tissue reconstruction is the body’s tendency to reject implanted materials. Bioprinting, through the use of the patient’s own cells, holds promise for significantly reducing the risk of rejection and complications. This not only enhances the longevity and success of reconstructive efforts but also decreases the likelihood of needing additional corrective surgeries.
