I strongly believe in the spirit of giving back to the Community and ecosystem. Sharing the knowledge and experience I have gathered is equally important for new-comers who seek guidance on how to kick-start their journey in the tech industry.

    In Akhilesh’s Own Words:

    • What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in the tech industry?

In the end what matters, is our aspirations irrespective of whatever our education background or previous work experience we come from. In my opinion, I have seen women from various diverse backgrounds entering the tech industry.

If we have the courage and determination to stay focused towards our goals nobody can stop us from reaching our destination.

    • Do you think we need to be writing code to be in the tech industry?

No, I don't think that not being a programmer/developer is the end of life in the tech industry.

One can still be a successful professional in the tech industry even if one is from a non-programming background.

    • Can women have kids and a tech career?

Of course, women can have kids and a tech career simultaneously.

Given the fact if they are proficient at multi-tasking as I have seen so many women around me who are successful women leaders serving the higher positions and are at the peak of their careers and they are still managing their career and family so efficiently.

    • What can companies do to increase the number of women in technology?

I believe, there is still a lack of awareness or skepticism among the companies except the few big players in the tech industry.

If the entire industry, comes together to work towards this cause and work in a right direction, I strongly believe, we can see a big shift in this direction.

    • What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the tech industries today?

I believe tech industries are struggling to stay intact and be in the game. The COVID-19 impact has just changed the dynamics of the entire industry in a matter of months.

I strongly feel that, post-COVID-19 normalization as the world goes back to normal technologies such as AI, ML, Cloud, Data Analytics, Digial Marketing will disrupt the industry in a much bigger manner. Companies will focus more aggressively on being DIGITAL.
