Bio
Sowmya Kumar is a passionate data science leader with industry experience developing machine learning models at scale in production from inception to business impact. She was the founding member of the data science team at Microsoft Devices, building strategic data science roadmaps and successfully executing them for multiple years with strong business impact and now part of Data science at Azure Supply Chain. She developed deep learning and machine learning modules for solving the demand-supply inventory forecast, customer level forecasting, labor optimization problems that handles seasonality, transition/ new products, marketing-promotions etc. She has experience brining applied science into different aspects of Marketing, Supply Chain & Retail. Prior to Microsoft, she was at Starbucks and was part of data science team in marketing where she was part of building customer segmentation for targeting offers to drive revenue, A/B experimentation to drive revenue and customer engagement. She has been awarded “Women to watch out for in AI & Analytics-2022” by 3 AI India’s largest AI Community.
Briana-Rose Sekulic – Senior Managing Partner, Aerospace, Defense & Manufacturing, DXC Technology. Briana-Rose has 10 years of experience in the technology sector as a Management Consultant. The focus of her work has been around helping clients with their Digital Strategy and Interactive Experience, Strategy and Transformation, Cognitive Process Transformation, Advanced Analytics and Innovation programs. Her responsibilities included Sales, Delivery of First-of-a-kind & Innovation programs, MVP/POCs, and large-scale programs. Prior to joining DXC Technology, she supported the President of IBM Canada as his Chief of Staff from 2019-2021 - In her role as Chief of staff she provided day-to-day leadership as an advisor and liaison between the office of the President and the IBM Canada/Consulting Americas leadership team and Premier clients. She led and supported a variety of initiatives that helped to shape IBM Canada’s Strategy ranging from Go to Market Big Bets and Beachheads, Diversity & Inclusion programs, Real Estate Planning, Employee Engagement, Global Markets Organization Transformation, Spin Off Execution, Hiring & Recruitment Initiatives, and fine tuning numerous other key processes. She has worked in several different industries including Aerospace, Defense & Manufacturing, Public Sector, Telecom, Financial Services, and Natural Resources. Briana is based out of Toronto. She is a passionate advocate of advancing women in Tech and Sustainability.
Ms. Devshree Golecha has been recognized as 40 under 40 by Houston Business Journal and CDO Magazine. She has also been named as one of the Leading Academic Data Leaders in 2022 and also one of the Global Data Power Women 2021and 2022 by the Chief Data Officer Magazine. She is also featured in P.O.W.E.R, the international magazine for women. She is a seasoned Technology Leader with 15 years of experience leading enterprise wide Analytics, Automation, and Optimization projects. Currently she serves as Vice President of Data at TDECU . She served as an Adjunct Professor of Quality Improvement and Statistics at the University of Houston. Ms. Golecha has been the Keynote Speaker at several world conferences. She is the Global CDO Ambassador and Chair for the State of Texas representing the International Society of Chief Data Officers and CDOIQ MIT. She is an Ambassador at WiDS, Stanford University. She is the Past President of the Texas Gulf Coast Association of Healthcare Quality. She represents Harvard Business School online programs as the Regional Community Leader. She is a Postgraduate in Data Science from Purdue University, an MBA (Finance), and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt”.
Laura Messerschmitt is the President of GoDaddy’s international division, where she is responsible for the strategy, marketing, operations and P&L for GoDaddy’s business worldwide. Previously, she led customer care and sales for GoDaddy and founded GoDaddy’s Customer Experience Team. Prior to GoDaddy, Laura led marketing for a startup, Outright, which was acquired by GoDaddy.
