Session: Tech Saves the World: a Space Tech case-study on fighting climate change
I have seen a lot of work being done in the philanthropic / NGO sector, a lot of new advances being offered by technology - especially in emerging space tech, and a lot of talk on how humanity needs to save the environment and efforts on how to achieve the 2030 UN SDGs. There is still little intersection between these sectors, but it is there.I am here to share my experience with you that I collected over the last 5 years on how space tech projects protect the environment at scale and how a business can have a sustainable business model and be completely impact-driven to solve a pressing environmental problem.
Bio
My name is Ekaterina Stambolieva - and I am a serial impact entrepreneur, and a female space tech founder.I am a swiss-army knife, and in 2019 I was the only woman in Portugal who lead and implemented a space tech project. I have extensive expertise in Machine Learning (9+ years of data science), Python (8+ years) and Satellite Image Analysis (2+ years). CTO & Co-founder of a space tech startup with experience in managing medium-sized teams. 0 to MVP in a sprint.
