Job Description Summary

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will be part of a dynamic, growing team planning and building an endpoint protection capability who deploys, monitors and mitigates issues with cyber security agents on all endpoints. A strong comprehension of endpoint security tools is critical to success. This role will focus primarily on security controls associated with anti-virus, anti-malware, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanning agents on all endpoint platforms.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible to:

• Design, implement, and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. 

• Ensure that endpoint security systems are configured and maintained in accordance with security best practices and industry standards. 

• Collaborate with network and systems administrators to ensure that endpoint security solutions are integrated into the organization’s overall security posture. 

• Develop and implement security policies, standards and procedures for end-users.

• Provide training and support to end-users on how to use endpoint security solutions effectively. 

• Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response efforts as required. 

• Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and developments and maintain a high level of technical expertise in the field of endpoint security.

• The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly and concisely report endpoint protection metrics.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college in computer science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with 5+ years of professional experience in information technology.

• 5+ years of experience installing and maintaining endpoint protection solutions​.

• Must be willing to work in a 24/7/365 environment.
