Youri Wims is a Senior Web Developer at 1Password passionate about leadership, mentorship, accessibility and user experience. Previously, as a developer at ecobee, she co-founded a company-wide accessibility initiative in addition to her contributions in building & maintaining the company's first subscription services. As someone who is relatively new in the dev community, she is enthusiastic about educating and helping new developers transition into the dev world feeling confident, prepared, and ready to make a positive impact. As an underrepresented person in tech, she takes pride in advocating for and supporting other women and BIPOC techies; she is currently part of the Front-end Foxes Canada Chapter and is a Software Developer Mentor for Co.Lab’s Winter2021 cohort. Additionally, she was a content creator for the Mozilla Developer YouTube channel and has spoken at #DevTo’s 2020 International Women's Day conference and Smashing Magazine’s SmashingConf SF 2020.
